Description
The Material Handler receives, stores, and distributes materials, equipment, and products in a distribution center. Duties include reading shipping documents, picking orders, labeling and checking packages, moving freight, sorting by SKU, loading UPS and FedEx packages, replenishing bins, and supporting inventory, returns, and process improvement. The role has three levels: Level 1 is entry-level training focused on cart pulling, order picking, floor replenishment, and loading boxes; Level 2 requires basic WMS knowledge, error-free shipping picking, and pack training; Level 3 requires intermediate WMS knowledge, inventory control, cycle counts, inventory adjustments, and advanced wave-operator coordination. The position requires consistent attendance, overtime flexibility, physical activity including lifting up to 50+ pounds, and may require forklift, reach truck, order picker, and pallet jack certification.
