Description
The role handles raw steel and other press-room materials, including receiving, inspecting, logging, staging, inventorying, and delivering steel to presses; managing rejected and scrapped material; supporting press and weld operators; and performing housekeeping and training duties. It requires at least one year of press-room sit-down hi-lo experience, forklift operation, basic computer and communication skills, and the ability to work overtime in a noisy, physically demanding environment. A high school diploma or GED, industry experience, and a valid Michigan driver's license are preferred or required, along with Hi-Lo and overhead crane licenses.
