Description
POET is hiring an on-site Material Handler in Fairmont, Nebraska to load dried distillers' grains, ethanol, corn oil, wet cake feed, distiller's syrup, and biomass into trucks and rail cars. The role uses mechanical equipment, meters, scales, computers, and software; may include grain or biomass grading, heavy-machinery operation, confined-space entry, HAZMAT paperwork, equipment maintenance, and bioprocessing-scale-house support. A high school diploma or equivalent is required, while Material Handler I requires no prior experience and Material Handler II requires successful prior performance or equivalent experience. The position requires outdoor, weekend, holiday, and extended-hour work, along with physical work in extreme temperatures and the use of personal protective equipment.
