Description
The Material Handler moves, stores, tracks, and ships inventory and non-hazardous and hazardous materials within a manufacturing plant. Responsibilities include loading and unloading transport items, recording inventory, shipping and receiving, matching deliveries to purchase orders, preparing products for shipment, inspecting incoming shipments, routing materials, labeling and counting inventory, and maintaining a safe warehouse. The role requires forklift certification, material-handling knowledge, a high school diploma or GED, and 1–2 years of material-handling experience in a manufacturing environment.
