TxDOT’s Dallas County Area Office is hiring a full-time Material/Process Inspector I to perform laboratory and field material and process inspections for construction and maintenance projects. The role includes nuclear density testing, pavement evaluations, compaction investigations, sample preparation, equipment calibration, recordkeeping, and reporting test results. No prior experience is required, but applicants must have a high school education or equivalent, a valid driver’s license, and obtain one of three listed hot-mix asphalt certifications within 12 months of hire. The position pays $45,521 to $71,055 annually and requires a pre-employment physical and drug testing.
