HRL Laboratories is hiring an entry-level Materials and Additive Manufacturing Engineer to develop new materials and additive manufacturing processes for aerospace applications. The role involves operating laser powder bed fusion metal 3D printers, designing and fabricating prototype components, characterizing printed materials through microscopy and mechanical testing, coordinating vendor analyses, and documenting findings. Candidates need a bachelor’s or master’s degree in engineering or physical sciences, 0–3 years of experience, CAD and programming knowledge, hands-on additive manufacturing and mechanical characterization experience, and the ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. Government security clearance. The stated pay range is $81,100–$98,900.
