Description
The Materials Control Engineer (Mini business) will coordinate and optimize mini-business operations across core, melting, and finishing areas, supporting production, quality, safety, cost, and productivity objectives. The role supervises operating costs, leads continuous improvement, monitors performance indicators, develops materials through testing and analysis, ensures compliance with quality and process requirements, and collaborates with production, quality, maintenance, engineering, and planning teams. The position requires a bachelor’s degree in metallurgical or materials engineering, at least two years of gray or ductile iron foundry operations experience, proficiency with Core Tools, and knowledge of metallurgical processes, chemical and thermal analysis, and relevant quality standards. The engineer will work in the office and on the production floor.
