Description

Brooks is hiring a Materials Developer to lead seasonal material and trim development from concept through commercialization and production. The role partners with product, design, apparel development, testing, sustainability, and supplier teams; evaluates materials and prototypes; manages documentation, testing, costing, shipments, and supplier relationships; and identifies emerging materials and manufacturing capabilities. Candidates need a bachelor’s degree in textile design or a related field, at least five years of experience with engineering, troubleshooting, and testing performance knits and wovens, textile-testing knowledge, PLM proficiency, and strong project-management and communication skills. The position is based in Seattle and requires four days per week in the office.
