Description
Lockheed Martin Space is hiring a full-time Materials Lab Associate Engineer in Sunnyvale, California, to develop test plans, perform laboratory testing, evaluate data, prepare samples, and report results for materials and parts. The role coordinates with design, manufacturing, quality, and procurement teams; interfaces with customers; and evaluates technical and economic factors for material selection and fabrication procedures. Candidates need a bachelor's degree in materials science and engineering, electrical engineering, or a related field, laboratory experience or coursework, knowledge of EEE devices, metallic alloys, or metallurgy, and experience reviewing test results and completing laboratory documentation. Familiarity with ASTM, AMS, or MIL specifications and standards for electrical, electronic, and electromechanical parts is desired.
