Axoft is hiring a Materials Engineer to characterize innovative polymers for implantable brain-machine interface applications. The role involves mechanical, physical, and chemical polymer characterization, experimental documentation, equipment calibration, and collaboration with the team on materials, test methods, and design criteria. Candidates need a master's degree in materials science or a related discipline, at least two years of relevant industry experience, hands-on laboratory characterization skills, and microfabrication cleanroom experience. Preferred qualifications include MEMS, microfluidics, medical-device fabrication, FTIR, GPC, DSC, rheometry, material failure analysis, and GMP or ISO quality experience.
