Description
Eaton is hiring a full-time, on-site Materials Engineer for its Marshall, Michigan facility. The role supports new product development, design validation, manufacturing, quality improvement, and failure analysis through metallurgical testing, laboratory execution, result interpretation, and engineering recommendations. The engineer will develop test plans, coordinate laboratory work, perform characterization and elemental analysis, use optical and electron microscopes, prepare reports, and maintain laboratory safety and compliance. A bachelor’s degree in materials science, engineering, or a related field and at least one year of basic METLAB knowledge are required; experience in materials engineering or metallurgical laboratories is preferred. The expected annual salary is $71,000 to $105,000, and relocation assistance is available to eligible United States and Puerto Rico residents.
