Snap Inc. is hiring a Nanophotonics Engineer to develop, qualify, and scale optical materials, waveguide processes, and measurement methodologies for next-generation augmented reality devices. The role spans materials and substrate qualification, optical measurement and metrology, simulation-to-measurement validation, fabrication process development, reliability and mechanical testing, supplier qualification, and cross-functional coordination. Candidates need a relevant PhD or 7+ years of industry experience, hands-on laboratory and experimental experience, strong data analysis and problem-solving skills, and the ability to work hands-on with equipment and technical samples. The role follows Snap’s default-together approach, requiring office attendance for at least four days per week.
