Materials Handler at Library of Congress

The Logistics Services Division, Integrated Support Services Directorate, Chief Operating Officer is hiring a Logistics Specialist for a non-supervisory, bargaining-unit position. The role operates powered materials-handling equipment, moves and stores supplies, furniture, equipment, hazardous materials, and other materials; interprets floor plans; conducts inventory reviews; operates government vehicles; and installs carpet, thresholds, and related materials. Applicants must have progressively responsible experience and training, a valid state motor vehicle operator's license, and forklift operator certification. The position uses a flexitime schedule and requires lifting up to 40 pounds on a recurring basis.
