Description
The Materials Manager leads planning and procurement for the Performance Cable Systems & Materials Division, overseeing material planning, MRP, purchasing, sourcing, supplier negotiations, supplier performance, supply continuity, inventory, and supply-chain risk. The role manages cross-functional collaboration with Sales, Manufacturing, Logistics, Quality, Finance, and other functions; leads and develops Planning and Procurement employees; and applies Lean, 5S, root-cause analysis, and continuous-improvement methods. It requires a bachelor's degree in a related field, at least seven years of progressive manufacturing materials-management or supply-chain experience, MRP/ERP and supplier-management experience, and the ability to work primarily in an office with regular manufacturing, warehouse, and plant-floor interaction.
