Description
The Materials Planner is responsible for ordering materials, supplies, tools, and other tangible items to support manufacturing and maintenance, ensuring timely delivery for production and shipping schedules. The role communicates with internal customers and vendors, prepares purchase orders, maintains procurement and inventory records, evaluates product quality and market prices, and coordinates with sourcing specialists and managers. The position is primarily office-based with time spent in production areas, requires availability for all shifts, periodic overtime, and occasional weekend work, and offers training for motivated candidates.
