Kahr Bearing is hiring a Materials Science Engineer II to independently lead moderately complex materials and manufacturing-engineering activities for composite liner production and coating operations. The role covers material and process qualification, characterization, testing, failure investigations, improvement projects, documentation, supplier and equipment qualification, and technical leadership and mentoring. The position begins at Sargent Aerospace & Defense in Tucson, Arizona, for six months before transitioning to the Kahr Bearing facility, and requires a bachelor’s degree in engineering plus at least two years of relevant engineering experience.
