Description
This is an applied materials internship for an early-career student at Cummins. The role analyzes IC engine, electric power, fuel, air, aftertreatment, battery, and fuel-cell systems through mechanical, physical, compositional, spectroscopic, microstructural, and nondestructive testing; evaluates materials and processes; performs failure and tribology analysis; and recommends manufacturing and quality improvements. The internship is full-time, requires enrollment in an accredited U.S. college or university, and offers a 10–12-week commitment with a 40-hour-per-week schedule. Degree-level salary estimates are $3,900–$5,000 for a bachelor’s degree, $6,000 for a master’s degree, and $7,300 for a PhD.
