Description
The Material Supervisor oversees daily production operations by securing materials, supervising processes and people, and expediting work and materials according to production schedules. The role manages make-and-buy replenishment, inventory levels, Kanban audits, on-time delivery tracking, material shortages, corrective actions, and coordination with production, planning, buying, receiving, and material-handling teams. It also involves coaching direct reports, maintaining accurate inventory, applying FIFO and lean manufacturing practices, and optimizing working capital. The position requires a BS or BA in Supply Chain Management, two years of materials warehouse experience in a pull-replenishment environment, strong leadership and communication skills, and fluency with Kanban systems.
