Description
The Field-Testing Technician Grade I performs field and laboratory testing, observation, and inspection of construction materials such as soils, aggregates, concrete, asphalt, and steel; transports samples; prepares and submits reports; maintains equipment and vehicles; and communicates with project managers, engineers, clients, contractors, and dispatchers. The role requires a high school diploma or equivalent, 3–5 years of relevant experience, a valid driver’s license, laptop and Microsoft Office proficiency, and specified ACI, radiation-safety, and nuclear-density-gauge certifications. The technician may train lower-level technicians and lead laboratory or field activities.
