Description
The YMCA of Honolulu is hiring a part-time Math Academic Tutor for its Mililani teen after-school program in Hawaii. The role focuses on supporting students’ academic growth in math while also mentoring and engaging middle and high school youth through enrichment activities, games, and relationship-building. Responsibilities include lesson planning, academic enrichment, maintaining a positive learning environment, communicating with parents and staff, supporting junior staff, and contributing ideas for program improvements. The position requires at least 6 months of experience facilitating instruction with youth needing academic intervention, strong communication and organizational skills, a high school diploma or equivalent, and preferred experience or credentials in education, tutoring, youth programming, and relevant software tools.
