Description
GlobalFoundries is hiring an MCU Architect, Custom Silicon to define and own the architecture of next-generation microcontroller-based silicon solutions, including real-time embedded SoCs and application-specific MCU platforms. The role leads trade-off analysis, compute and memory subsystems, interconnects, peripherals, clock, reset, power, firmware-software interfaces, validation, bring-up, and post-silicon debug, while collaborating with design, verification, firmware, software, safety, security, and system teams. The position requires a bachelor’s degree in electrical or computer engineering and deep experience in MCU, embedded SoC, or custom silicon architecture; preferred qualifications include 15+ years of relevant experience, ARM Cortex-M or RISC-V expertise, and functional safety and security knowledge.
