Description
The Internal Medicine Physician diagnoses and treats adult and elderly patients in a community health center setting, manages chronic diseases, provides comprehensive outpatient care, and may continue care in inpatient or residential settings. The role may also supervise mid-level practitioners, authorize controlled-substance prescriptions, verify medical assistants’ clinical skills, and serve as a CLIA-waived laboratory director at certain sites. Candidates must graduate from an accredited medical school, be board certified or board eligible after residency, and be licensed in Hawaii.
