Description

Momentum Engineering, Inc. is hiring a Cloud System Administrator to operate and maintain a Java- and open-source-based cloud platform supporting data-intensive analytics. The role provides Tier 1 through Tier 3 support, troubleshoots Linux and Unix systems and networking, provisions and configures Red Hat and CentOS environments, supports Kubernetes, Hadoop, and Accumulo, and uses automation, monitoring, and incident-response tools. It requires an active Top Secret/SCI clearance with an NSA Full Scope Polygraph, seven years of Red Hat/CentOS and Linux/Unix experience, two years of DNS experience, a relevant bachelor’s degree, and applicable certifications.

Additional Information

Minimum Education: Bachelor’s degree in Systems Engineering, Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering Science, Engineering Management, or a related discipline from an accredited college or university
Required Previous Experiences: Seven years administering Red Hat/CentOS systems from the command line
Seven years with Linux/Unix networking, including nmap, tcpdump, and firewalls
Seven years with Red Hat/CentOS kickstart and system provisioning
Two years with Red Hat DNS administration, including DNS, hosts files, and DHCP
Preferred Qualifications: DoD 8570 IAT Level I certification or higher, preferably Security+, obtained prior to start
AWS Certified DevOps Engineer – Professional
CDP Administrator – Private Cloud Base
