Description

Momentum Engineering, Inc. is seeking a Software Engineer to provide research, development, and engineering support for mission-critical applications in large-scale distributed and cloud environments. The role covers the full software development lifecycle, including requirements analysis, system design, development, integration, testing, deployment, sustainment, performance tuning, and technical leadership. Candidates must hold an active Top Secret/SCI clearance with an NSA Full Scope Polygraph and have extensive software engineering experience, including work with Java, C, C++, UNIX/Linux, and object-oriented systems. The position is exempt and includes paid holidays, PTO, medical, dental, vision, life insurance, and STD/LTD plans.

Additional Information

Minimum Education: Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or a related technical discipline from an accredited college or university
Required Previous Experiences: 20 years of experience as a Software Engineer supporting programs and contracts of similar scope, type, and complexity
8 years of software development or software engineering experience across the full software development lifecycle
6 years of experience developing software using high-level programming languages such as Java, C, or C++
5 years of experience developing software for UNIX/Linux environments, including Red Hat operating systems
Experience performing requirements analysis and design for at least one major object-oriented software system
Preferred Qualifications: Experience designing and optimizing complex Neo4j graph schemas, including Cypher query optimization, index management, and APOC procedures
Advanced experience with the Spring Boot ecosystem, including Spring Data, Spring Security, and Spring Cloud
Experience integrating graph databases with relational databases or search technologies such as Elasticsearch
Familiarity with the Neo4j Graph Data Science library and graph analytics algorithms
Experience developing data-driven or event-driven analytics using rules engines or similar orchestration technologies
Understanding of large-scale cloud architecture and scalability patterns in commercial cloud environments
Experience with genetic algorithms, inference engines, or techniques for identifying latent patterns in extremely large data sets
Experience with foreign language processing, multimedia exploitation, or social network discovery
Experience defining and documenting complex ontologies, schemas, data models, and API specifications
