The Meat Department Associate is responsible for prioritizing daily work, maintaining food-handling and temperature standards, learning meat sourcing and culinary practices, writing orders, and completing scanning, shrink recording, raw production, cutting, stocking, rotation, and merchandising. The role requires strong communication, independent and minimal-supervision work, physical ability to lift up to 50 pounds, availability for non-traditional hours including weekends and evenings, and willingness to work in hot or cold conditions.
