Description
The Mechanic 1st Class performs mechanical and electrical and instrumentation (E&I) maintenance and construction in an industrial plant. Responsibilities include rebuilding equipment to OEM specifications, repairing and replacing pumps, compressors, piping, valves, PLCs, instrumentation, and other systems; troubleshooting motor control circuits and variable-frequency drives; calibrating process instrumentation; documenting work in a CMMS; and participating in safety, hazard, and improvement activities. The role requires at least five years of industrial mechanical and E&I maintenance or construction experience, journeyman-level education or equivalent experience, daylight-shift availability, and the ability to work outdoors and in confined or elevated spaces.
