Description

Metrolinx is seeking a Mechanic 310T (Coach Technician) to diagnose, repair, and inspect buses. The role involves performing preventative maintenance programs, commissioning processes, and ensuring compliance with Ministry of Transportation (MTO) regulations. Candidates must hold a certified Truck and Coach Technician status, possess extensive experience in heavy-duty bus maintenance, and demonstrate strong technical proficiency.

Additional Information

Required Previous Experiences: one (1) year of experience as a Truck and Coach Technician - 310T designation in a transit /highway bus or similar heavy-duty repair environment.
Preferred Qualifications: Detailed knowledge of heavy transit and highway bus maintenance/repair, manufacturers’ specifications/schematics, MTO specifications/requirements pertaining to legislated bus inspection requirements, and state of the art transit/mechanical technology.
Must have a valid Ontario Class "G" driver’s license. Must meet corporate standard for a good driving record and have the ability to obtain and maintain a Class "C" driver's license and "Z" endorsement.
Must be able to obtain Ozone Depletion Card.
