Description

This role involves daily maintenance and repair of company-owned trucks and trailers to ensure safe operation and minimize costs. Key tasks include diagnosing and fixing mechanical failures, performing various system repairs (sheet metal, suspension, electrical, etc.), conducting preventive maintenance, and ensuring compliance with environmental regulations. The position requires adherence to safety protocols, accurate record-keeping, and potential assistance to colleagues.

Additional Information

Required Previous Experiences: 1+ years of related experience and/or training in an industrial mechanical maintenance or food manufacturing environment
4 years’ direct experience as a diesel mechanic
Preferred Qualifications: Vocational Diploma, Technical Diploma or associate degree from a technical maintenance or vocational school.
Advanced knowledge of a vehicle’s electrical system and the mechanisms of a diesel engine.
Ability of running diagnostic tests on vehicles, test driving vehicles to gauge performance and maintaining detailed records of the vehicles they have serviced.
Proficiency in the use of diesel engine diagnostic software.
Welding experience preferred.
