The Mechanic provides technical maintenance and repair services for company buses, vans, and automobiles under the direction of a Shop Supervisor and Operations Manager. Responsibilities include preventative maintenance, unscheduled repairs, engine, electrical, fuel, brake, exhaust, and field tests; road testing; DVIR repairs; emergency roadside service; documentation; inventory; and shop maintenance. The role requires significant vehicle-repair training or experience, familiarity with diesel, gasoline, and alternative-fueled vehicles, heavy lifting, regular physical activity, and compliance with DOT, OSHA, and EPA requirements. Tech A, Tech B, and Tech C experience levels are specified, along with a Class 7 Inspection license and a valid Commercial Driver’s License or ability to obtain one within three months.
