Description

The Heavy Duty Diesel Mechanic will safely operate, repair, rebuild, and maintain heavy-duty diesel trucks, rolling stock, and other diesel, CNG, gas, and electrically operated equipment. Responsibilities include diagnosing and repairing operational difficulties, completing work orders, scheduling repairs in M5, procuring parts, coordinating mechanical write-ups, maintaining safe working conditions, and assisting with employee training. The role requires a high school diploma or GED, at least one year of diesel mechanic experience, computer literacy, and the ability to meet safety-sensitive-function criteria; technical diploma, diagnostic software experience, and willingness to learn software systems are preferred.
