Description
Pace is hiring a Mechanic Helper to perform preventive maintenance inspections, service calls, shift duties, documentation, and general repairs on company vehicles and equipment under the direction of the Superintendent of Maintenance. The role requires at least one year of diesel or gasoline vehicle repair experience or relevant technical school training, a high school diploma or equivalent, a safe three-year driving record, a valid or soon-to-be-obtained Class B commercial driver's license with air-brake endorsements, hand tools, equipment operation knowledge, and the ability to lift 75 pounds. It is a safety-sensitive, union position performed in a garage and outdoors, including potential 24/7/365 coverage, with no hybrid or telecommuting option.
