Description
The Mechanic III inspects, maintains, troubleshoots, and repairs electrical, mechanical, and hydraulic systems on underground mining equipment. The role includes preventive maintenance, equipment diagnosis, schematic and blueprint interpretation, welding and fabrication, documentation, and compliance with MSHA permissibility standards. Candidates must have a high school diploma or equivalent, current MSHA underground electrical certification, at least one year of underground mining experience, and proven welding and fabrication experience.
