Description
The Mechanical Assembler produces and assembles machines and machine parts according to blueprints, shop orders, and specifications. The role involves measuring parts, using overhead cranes and rigging, operating material-handling equipment, preparing parts for painting, and maintaining a clean work area. It is a second-shift position from 1:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m., with possible overtime, and requires a high school-level education, blueprint-reading ability, mathematical and metric-conversion skills, hand-tool and machine-tool knowledge, and the ability to work independently and collaboratively. The work is performed in a factory environment with physical demands including frequent lifting and regular exposure to moving mechanical parts.
