The Mechanical Assembler produces and assembles machines and machine parts according to specifications in a factory environment. The role involves reading blueprints and shop orders, measuring parts, using overhead cranes and rigging, operating material-handling equipment, and maintaining a clean workspace. It requires a high school-level education, mathematical and blueprint-reading skills, hand and machine-tool proficiency, communication and organizational abilities, and the ability to work independently and as part of a team. The position involves frequent standing and walking, regular lifting of up to 50 pounds, and occasional lifting of up to 75 pounds, with required personal protective equipment.
