The role involves assembling and fitting parts into complete units or subassemblies, installing mechanical components, connecting stainless steel tubing with hand and bench power tools, performing leak checks and other tests, and using assembly drawings, specifications, flowcharts, and assembly fixtures. A high school diploma, technical school certification, or equivalent experience is typically required, along with general assembly experience, knowledge of tube bending and leak testing, and the ability to read assembly drawings and specifications.
