Description
The Mechanical CAD Designer will develop 3D CAD models and detailed 2D manufacturing and assembly drawings for superconducting magnets, demonstrators, prototypes, and associated tooling. The role collaborates with engineers and technical specialists on research and development for future particle accelerators, updates models and drawings based on construction and assembly feedback, supports procurement and as-built configurations, and assists with CNC machining and electromagnetic and mechanical simulations. The position requires CATIA or similar 3D CAD proficiency, PLM experience, knowledge of mechanical assemblies and ISO-GPS tolerancing, and a higher technical diploma or equivalent relevant experience.
