Assystem is hiring a Commissioning Engineer to work on-site at its Client In Derby nuclear licensed site. The role involves authoring and managing commissioning test procedures, maintaining test records, conducting and analyzing commissioning tests, communicating with the team, and performing commissioning duties on nuclear, conventional, environmental safety, wastewater, and nuclear-qualified crane systems. The position is based in Derby, initially follows a Monday-to-Friday two-shift pattern, and may increase to a three-shift pattern from February 2026. Candidates should have experience commissioning gas, fluid, vacuum, and mechanical handling systems; familiarity with Licence Condition 21, health and safety standards, permits, and safety cases; ability to perform initial operator duties during non-active commissioning; and experience witnessing, supervising, and accepting vendor and supplier testing.
