Align Production Systems is hiring a full-time, exempt Design Engineer II in Decatur, Illinois. The role owns the mechanical design and release of custom material-handling equipment from concept through manufacturing handoff, including hydraulic system design and laser nesting. Responsibilities include developing engineering packages, managing drawings and BOMs, coordinating with manufacturing, resolving floor-level technical issues, and supporting factory acceptance testing. The position requires a bachelor's degree in mechanical engineering, custom-manufacturing design experience, hydraulic design experience, SolidWorks or comparable CAD proficiency, and knowledge of fabrication processes.
