Description
Kela Technologies is hiring a Mechanical Design Engineer for its Advanced Munitions Group to own mechanical design from concept through production. The role involves designing and optimizing components, assemblies, and mechanisms; prototyping and validating hardware; collaborating with hardware, electronics, manufacturing, and systems teams; creating SolidWorks CAD models and production drawings; and traveling to manufacturing sites and suppliers. Candidates need a B.Sc. in Mechanical Engineering, at least five years of multidisciplinary mechanical design experience, at least two years of plastic injection-molding design experience including Moldflow analysis, advanced SolidWorks proficiency, and experience with mechanisms, CNC machining, sheet metal, rapid prototyping, and design for manufacturability.
