Description
Kela is hiring a Mechanical Design Engineer to own the detailed design of ruggedized sealed units and platform-integration hardware, from concept CAD through analysis-driven iteration and released production drawings. The role includes designing mechanisms and fixtures, building and debugging prototypes, supporting subcontractor ramp and engineering changes, and co-designing PCB keepouts and placements. The position requires at least seven years of hands-on mechanical design experience, a BSc in Mechanical Engineering, strong SolidWorks and GD&T skills, and experience with defense programs, harsh-environment assemblies, electronics packaging, and manufacturing subcontractors.
