MP Materials is hiring a Design Engineer for a new facility involving chemical, mechanical, and thermal processes such as electrowinning, strip casting, powder production, pressing and sintering, machining, and assembly. The role leads design, manufacturing, installation, commissioning, vendor compliance, testing, automation, equipment sourcing, and continuous improvement; it also supports technicians and works with process, controls, manufacturing, EHS, and other engineering teams. Candidates need a BS or MS in mechanical, chemical, or a related engineering field, at least five years of process design and automation experience in manufacturing, and experience with machine design, testing, control systems, CAD, and process safety.
