Description
Shield AI is hiring a Mechanical Design Engineer to contribute to the design and development of autonomous UAV products, including complex launch and recovery vehicle structures. The role covers concept design, CAD, tolerance analysis, material selection, structural and kinematic calculations, preliminary FEA, prototyping, testing, integration, and pre-production builds. The engineer will collaborate with electrical, avionics, flight controls, manufacturing, and test teams and support design reviews and process improvements. A B.S. in Mechanical or Aerospace Engineering and at least two years of mechanical or mechanism design experience for ground vehicles are required.
