Description
The Staff Engineer 2 will lead the conceptualization, design, fabrication, construction, installation, and commissioning of synchrotron radiation beam-line components and systems. The role manages the full engineering lifecycle, coordinates with physicists, scientists, and technicians, prepares technical documentation and project deliverables, and applies mechanical design, CAD, thermal and structural analysis, precision mechanisms, and ultra-high-vacuum engineering practices. A bachelor's degree in mechanical engineering or a related field and at least two years of mechanical design experience are required; the position is regular continuing and pays $134,906–$164,965 per year.
