Mechanical Design Engineer: Robotics Hardware Engineering, Surfacing at Meta

Meta is hiring a Mechanical Design Engineer focused on Robot Design to translate industrial design intent into complex, high-quality CAD surfaces for humanoid robot exterior panels, covers, and housings. The role owns mechanical safety architecture, impact and crush-force calculations, FEA, risk assessments, safety certification documentation, and manufacturability across injection molding, thermoforming, and composite manufacturing. It requires a BS in Mechanical Engineering or a relevant field, at least 8 years of mechanical design experience, strong CAD and GD&T skills, and experience with rapid prototyping, tolerance analysis, and FEA.
