ALTEN is hiring a Mechanical Design Engineer (Test Rigs) for its Loughborough team in the aerospace engineering and advanced technology sector. The role is full-time and on-site, supporting the design, development, build, testing, commissioning, and troubleshooting of test rigs, test frames, and integration interfaces. Responsibilities include producing 3D models, engineering drawings, and technical documentation; working with multidisciplinary engineering teams; and improving test facilities and engineering processes. The position seeks junior-to-mid-level candidates with 2–5 years of experience, a bachelor’s or master’s degree in engineering or equivalent military experience, and strong mechanical design, CAD, and troubleshooting skills.
