Description
Destinus is seeking a Mechanical Design Engineer to design and optimize gas turbine components, including mixed-flow compressor stages, high-speed rotor shafts, and bearing systems. The role involves thermomechanical material analysis, precision tolerancing, design for manufacturability, stress and FEA analysis, design validation, and collaboration with aerodynamics, materials, manufacturing, and testing teams. Candidates need a bachelor’s or master’s degree in mechanical, aerospace, or a related engineering field, at least five years of experience with gas turbines or high-performance rotating machinery, and strong knowledge of materials, rotating assemblies, manufacturing, and stress analysis.
