Description
HDR is hiring a Mechanical Engineer to coordinate mechanical design teams and deliver mechanical systems for commercial and institutional building projects. The role covers schematic design through contract documents, code-compliance reviews, workload and schedule coordination, site work sessions, interdisciplinary coordination, specifications and equipment selection, construction administration, and QA/QC. Candidates need a bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, a recognized professional engineering license, mechanical system design experience, commercial or institutional facilities experience, and proficiency with MS Office, Trane TRACE or similar software, and manufacturer selection software. HDR prefers candidates with a master's degree in Architectural Engineering with a mechanical emphasis, at least three years of relevant design experience, healthcare, science and technology, or civic facilities experience, and sustainable design or LEED interest.
