Description
Applied Research Associates is hiring a full-time Mechanical Engineer 2 for an on-site role in Madison, Alabama. The position designs, models, validates, and supports the fabrication and testing of mechanical parts and assemblies using SOLIDWORKS, including sheet metal, weldments, simulation, surfaces, and drawings. The engineer will also prepare cost estimates, provide technical guidance, support manufacturing and customer demonstrations, evaluate operational systems, and independently develop solutions under general direction. The role requires a bachelor’s degree in engineering or equivalent plus 5+ years of mechanical engineering experience, or an H.S. diploma and 12+ years of mechanical design experience in the Department of War manufacturing field, along with a SECRET clearance and United States citizenship.
