Applied Research Associates is hiring a full-time Mechanical Engineer 2 for an on-site role in Madison, Alabama. The position designs, models, validates, and documents mechanical parts and assemblies using SOLIDWORKS; supports prototype builds, testing, customer demonstrations, manufacturing, quality, cost estimates, and project presentations. The role requires a bachelor’s degree in engineering or equivalent plus 5+ years of mechanical engineering experience, or an H.S. diploma and 12+ years of mechanical design experience in the DoW manufacturing field, along with SOLIDWORKS, product development, manufacturing, and PDM capabilities. A national background check, SECRET clearance, and United States citizenship are required.
