Lam Research is hiring a Mechanical Engineer III for its WETS Product Group to design, develop, and validate mechanical components, assemblies, and subsystems for wet-processing equipment used in advanced semiconductor manufacturing. The role focuses on translating system requirements into detailed mechanical designs, creating 3D CAD models and engineering documentation, performing structural and thermal-mechanical analysis, supporting NPI and prototype activities, collaborating with cross-functional engineering teams, and mentoring junior engineers. Candidates need a bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering or a related discipline with at least five years of relevant experience, or a master’s degree with three years of experience, along with 3D CAD and mechanical design experience. The role offers On-site Flex or Virtual Flex hybrid work arrangements.
